Sagamore Hills Elementary Wildcat Newsletter

Presidents' Message

We hope that everyone had a smooth first week. Although we've only completed one week of this year, the PTA has already been very busy. We had our first Spirit Night at Moe's on Thursday. This had a big turn-out and was fun for all. On Friday, we welcomed our new families at the New Parent Coffee. New parents learned about the PTA and the wealth volunteer opportunities at Sagamore.

Finally, we kicked off the Fall Fund-raiser. All families should have received their package from Innisbrook in the Thursday packet. Proceeds from this fund-raiser will go toward new instructional resources - software in the PTA-funded Mac lab, e-readers and more. If each child sells $60, we will make our goal of $13,000. This fund-raiser started this week and ends September 14. That day is just around the corner so take action today! Go to www.innisbrook.com, enter our school number (102173), register your child and order through the EZ gateway. It's that easy!

Volunteers Needed! Seeking New Leaders for Junior Great Books!

Like to read? Talk with kids? Looking for a unique way to support our school? Junior Great Books is seeking a few good volunteers! Parents/guardians lead student discussion groups that meet 2 to 3 times a month during 30-minute lunch periods at school. No experience is necessary, and volunteers receive professional training and lots of follow-up support! We need leaders across all grades, but especially for our new first graders. Contact Melissa Kemmerly or Laura Coats for more information.

To register your student for Junior Great Books, please click here. If your child was registered last year and plans to return this year, please send in their registration as soon as possible. With training for new leaders coming soon, we need to assign groups quickly.

Keep Voting for the "GIVE WITH TARGET" Campaign

We've already collected $100 in gift cards and are only 13 votes away from our next $25! Vote for Sagamore Hills Elementary today!
