Students have an opportunity to cook and enjoy a treat while learning about nutrition, math (addition, fractions), cooperation, etc. Volunteers lead cooking and other parents can contribute ingredients and supplies.

No-Cook Healthy Halloween Treats[edit]

(well, one of them anyway)

  • 6 good size apples (3 Red and 3 Green)
  • 1 bag of mini marshmallows
  • 1 small box of toothpicks
  • 2 bags (small) or 1 (larger) bag of slivered almonds
  • 1 small black frosting pen
  • 25 Halloween paper plates or napkins
  • 1 small bag of chocolate chips
  • 1 box of hot cocoa packets without marshmallows
  • 25 small Styrofoam cups
  • 1 small box of coffee stirrers
