Suggested times: Kids Cooking rotates with Mad Scientist every other week. Fridays 1-2 pm 1-2 parents needed. Science supplies available in Sagamore Science Lab - get assistance from Ms. Danhi or Ms. Lambert. Parents can come up with science experiments or ask teachers for help with ideas.

Students get to cook up and enjoy a treat on Fridays (time specified below).  Week's end fun while learning nutrition, math (addition, fractions), cooperation, and whatever else we throw in.  Volunteers needed to contribute:

1 hour total per week. 2 parent volunteers. Class is divided in half based on their experience level on the computer. Half of the class is taken at a time for 30 minutes and taught a lesson. Goal to increase exposure and experience on computer.

The kids will have drawn a picture. The adult then encourages the child to write a sentence that explains the drawing. Parents could volunteer twice a month or something? It could be set up as a reward for children who receive good-super all week or something. The kids really enjoy going in there and having their own computer.
