Sagamore Hills PTA Dreamhost account
The Sagamore Hills PTA in its online efforts uses Dreamhost for the following online services:
Dreamhost use was initiated 2011-07 by Vera Kornylak.
Billing
Charged $199.40 annually on July 23 for "Happy Hosting" service on Vera Kornylak's card.
Accounts
The PTA and its volunteers hold various accounts at Dreamhost.
Dreamhost Account
A Dreamhost Account is a collection of billing information and Dreamhost service plans. Multiple Dreamhost Users can be granted various privileges on the account, such as the ability to modify billing information and service plans or add/remove websites.
The PTA's account is, #1166210 "Sagamore Hills PTA", to which the following have some amount of access.
- Vera Kornylak
- Can do anything (and the only one who does billing), established 2011-07
- Dave Barker
- Can do everything (add/remove websites) except billing (or change service plans), established 2013-02
Dreamhost User
A Dreamhost user account, or Dreamhost Web ID (more), is needed to manage Dreamhost services (it allows you to "login to Dreamhost"). Each individual that needs to work at this level should have their own so they can be added and removed from the PTA's Dreamhost Account.
Server
Server accounts are on the actual machine hosting services (such as a website). Probably not needed unless ftp/ssh access is needed (see the Dreamhost documentation for FTP, SFTP, and shell). The same account can host multiple domains/websites (but multiple server accounts cannot manage the same domain/website), so we'll probably just have one.
The only server account is: verkor (on server nair-al-saif.dreamhost.com).
Wordpress
See the Sagamore Hills PTA website page (an example of an Dreamhost application user).
Database
The single MySQL database account, sagamorehillspta, is used by the PTA's Wordpress site (an example of a Dreamhost MySQL user).
Log
The log account, sagamore, is used to view website-access statistics, such as those of the PTA's website (an example of a Dreamhost stats user).
